The three great Daibutsu

I seem to have visited all of Japan’s three largest Daibutsu (Big Buddhas) in the last several months.  That is, unless there’s another one out there that I don’t know about.

In order from smaller to larger, here they are.

1. Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture

2. Nara (inside Todaiji), Nara Prefecture

Here's the big fella, looking good after having his annual dusting a month or so ago.

3. Nihonji, Chiba Prefecture
