Shibuya in the snow

Shibuya (and no doubt the rest of Tokyo) has been covered with a layer of snow tonight.  As I was writing my previous post, it was really bucketing down outside and coating everything with a layer of white.  In as little as 20 minutes, the road outside was covered with an untouched, even white surface – apart from the wheel marks of the first car to drive through the middle of it. Still living out of a suitcase

The storm clouds were building the other evening out to the north, just on sunset.  This cumulonimbus had lightning flashing inside it, and was quite spectacular. (more…)

Hachiyama-cho

I got in ok on Saturday evening, and made my way into Shibuya for the night.  From the 23rd floor, the view out over Tokyo was a bit darker and foreboding than usual – when I woke up the next morning, it was raining, and didn’t stop all day. Yodobashi Camera had the goods, so my laptop is now plugged in to the power point and I can connect to the outside world again.
