Advertising cacophony

Japan can be such a noisy country at times, especially the major retail and commercial districts.  I sometimes wonder whether the concept of noise pollution exists.

Recently, my ear drums were blasted by this advertising truck driving down Miyamasuzaka in Shibuya.

It’s common enough to see trucks driving around this area with speakers blaring out advertisements, often for the release of some pop diva’s latest single.  This truck was advertising what it claims to be Japan’s cheapest manga cafe, called Manbo.  Imagine being the driver of this truck – it would make me go completely nuts having to listen to the sound of my own speakers constantly.

I found a way to upload onto this blog the low quality videos from my phone, and because this truck mightily annoyed me, I’ve also worked out how to play it on an endless loop to annoy you too!
